You’re driving along and suddenly you think to yourself, you can’t remember the last time you got your car serviced.
First thing to check would be your windscreen. Any good service center would place a service reminder that will show you the next service date and next service mileage – you are supposed to take your car in whichever comes first.
If you haven’t got a sticker, call up the workshop that you last serviced your car at and provide your number plate. Any workshop with a customer database would have a record of your last work there, so you can see if it’s been longer than six months.
If you’ve just purchased a second hand car or you really can’t remember when or where you serviced your car last, the best thing to do would be to get it serviced, especially with an oil change, and keep track from there. Better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the longevity of your engine.
Better yet, use GoCar Garage! Check your in-app history to see exactly when your car was serviced and what was done, so that you can plan what to do next.
